World Water Week

This week is World Water Week with today specifically (22nd March) being World Water Day

I’m one of those people who just pay their water bill month in month out (well, the husband does) and the most real water saving I do is turn the tap off full blast whilst the children are brushing their teeth.

Then I was invited to take part in a water survey to see how much I could save. Oh my goodness! I waste A LOT of water and in turn a lot of money.

Did you know 25% of your energy bills is spent on heating water? And cutting your family’s showering time by only one minute each can cut £120 a year from your energy and water bill?

According to my results I could easily save around 1,825 litres of water by simply turning the tap off when brushing teeth and taking two minutes less in the shower. I have also been sent some free items to help me save water when we flush the toilet and water our plants.

Give the calculator a go and see if you could save with a few simple changes. And don’t forget your free items to help you save!

It takes less than 5 minutes to complete and could save you up to £95 a year – giving you a personalised report including advice and, dependent on your water board, free products worth up to £58.
